About the Event
Most couples have a sex life by default, based on what we've been taught or what we've observed through family, friends, religion, social media, media, you name it. We often inadvertantly learn a set of values, beliefs and rules about what it means to have a great sex life and those expectations guide our experience with our partner, for better or for worse.
The problem is, many times, the values, beliefs and rules that we have about sex are not serving us individually or as a couple. As mentioned previously, research indicates that if sex is great it accounts for about 15% of the overall goodness of a relationship... but if it's struggling it can account for up to 75% of dissatisfaction. That's a lot! Clearly, having expectations, behaviors and patterns that don't serve our relationship can really set us up for a lot of pain.
